Galileo ガリレオ- Release Oct 07

Kumo Japan Drama sneak!!

Japan Drama Story:

Yukawa Manabu (Fukuyama Masaharu) 福山雅治 is a brilliant university professor known as “Galileo”. He helps Utsumi Kaoru (Shibasaki Kou) 柴咲コウ, a young detective solved mysteries case. Yukawa Manabu also considered a strange man as he only interested in physics and scientific theory. That explains why he only interested on how the mysteries case happened but not the person who committed the crime. Some how, Utsumi Kaoru manage to take advantage on him to help solved the crimes.

Feelings and Comments:

No doubt this is the detective drama of the year. Good story line with detail scientific theories and logic reference. This drama is actually base on 2 detective novels. Plus a very strong cast with all the talented guest stars. It’s been a long time that I haven’t seen one good detective drama. This drama has some similarities with the US series “Numbers”. There’s always some calculation need to be done before solving the mysteries.

Fukuyama Masaharu (福山雅治) sure is talented. That’s both in acting, singing and composing song. He even helps in composing the theme song. That’s thumbs up for a hard working and talented singer/actor.

Things that caught my eyes:

The supporting cast and guests of each episode are very famous. You will be surprise to see some of the top singers and actor/actress appeared just for few minutes.

Japan Drama Rating:

Worth watching it. There is no room for the word bored in this drama.

Purchase:
TV series.

Thank you for sharing this clip of a popular TV show in Japan.

Your technique - watching TV shows in a new language and summarizing them in English - can be quite effective. In the United States, the national agency regulating television mandated the use of subtitles for new shows on commercial stations for precisely this reason. While the official reason focused on making television more accessible to "often excluded individuals" such as the handicapped, television's role in teaching English to millions of immigrants remained an important motive. The once small pilot program has now been expanded to cover all the major networks.
Your approach goes one step beyond just listening, reading, and watching. By forcing yourself to summarize the shows, you are also pushing yourself to write in English too. Good job!
Keep it up.

P.S. Watch your verb tenses. You made more than a handful of minor errors in your concise plot summary. Please forgive my corrections.
